Middlebury Historic Reimagine

Goals for reimagining the design of this historic home included modern energy efficient features, accommodations for aging in place, strategic and efficient use of space, minimal maintenance, and natural light wherever possible. Similar in size and scale to the old one, the new structure keeps with the aesthetic of the surrounding buildings.  Everything from the hipped roofline on the wrap-around porch to the gabled facade, the window size and appearance, and the low maintenance clapboard siding is a nod to the historic details of this century-old neighborhood.

Key Features:

Zola windows, LED lighting with age-in-place placement and levels, standing seam metal roof, solar panels, ground source heat pumps, Zehnder system, custom cabinetry, acoustically-isolated studio, high R insulation
